Over the past 30 years . . . \u2026 is a brain in its neural dynamic stable state. In this default state, energy metabolism is reduced and thermodynamic entropy is minimized. It is a state of least uncertainty.<\/p>

A human brain contains approximately 100 billion neurons. If each neuron acted independently, the collective cost to the brain would be too high to sustain. Similar to an atom in a collection or a fish in a school, neurons, in an ideal condition, always go toward binding with their neighbors to form cohesion and behave symmetrically to reduce degrees of freedom and maximize energy conservation. \u2026 through behavioral evaluations and the many scientific tests that are now available to directly measure the brain\u2019s physical properties, helps us determine brain condition.\u00a0 Studies with co-registered assessments of Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scan, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Electroencephalogram (EEG) have shown that the brain metabolic rate is determined, to a great extent, by the levels of symmetry in its underlying electrical activities. The latter can be interpreted as EEG synchrony or frequency selectivity. In an alert and relaxed mental state, a healthy brain stays in an oscillatory mode, where most neurons fire synchronously in alpha wave frequency at approximately 10 cycles per second (Hz).<\/p>

Compared with a desynchronized state . . . in the same testing condition, the brain, during alpha oscillation, consumes the least energy and, therefore, is more stable. Dr Jin\u2019s studies have further demonstrated that the amount and the quality of alpha EEG are often associated with various mental and neurological conditions.\u00a0 Brain wave abnormalities (identified through EEG) can result from many causes, such as genetic mutations, chemical intoxications, head injuries, psychological stresses and so on. The Evolution of Treatment<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In 2009 . . . following the FDA approval of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Dr. Jin\u2019s first protocol, Neuro-EEG Synchronization Therapy (NEST), became an offering to patients through his first company, NeoSync.<\/p>

By 2012 . . . Magnetic EEG-guided Resonant Therapy (MeRT), using repetitive magnetic stimulation synchronized to an individual\u2019s harmonic relationship between the dominant brain rhythm and other organ systems, most notably, the heart, was developed by Dr Jin through the work of his Newport Brain Research Lab and brought to patients through a network of Brain Treatment Centers around the world.<\/p>

2020 . . . marks the year that Dr Jin and his First Principles Research Group are ready to release the most advanced protocol to date, Electromagnetic Brain Pulsing (EMBP). EMBP <\/strong>is a new, advanced, patented and proprietary technology. The essence of the treatment is identifying the patient\u2019s brain condition through quantitative analyses and then delivering a customized, pulse-matching, electromagnetic stimulation to normalize the brain condition. EMBP<\/strong> is one of the noninvasive, physiological, treatment procedures delivered through the mechanism now referred to as \u201cneural modulation.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>

EMBP <\/strong>\u00a0. . . consists of three steps as it is delivered to a patient: (1) recording the patient\u2019s EEG at rest, (2) analyzing the EEG data by comparing them with a normative database, using an Artificial Intelligence (AI) process, to identify a patient\u2019s characteristic alpha pattern, and (3) generating an electromagnetic pulse sequence that is customized according to an individual patient\u2019s alpha pattern with its unique frequency distribution probability. The treatment\u2019s intent is to help restore the individual\u2019s default brain state, rather than chasing the phenomenology of clinical symptoms.<\/p>

Throughout the past 15 years . . . a growing body of literature following Dr Jin\u2019s theory has been published, dozens of patents have been granted, and the principles within the theory have been adopted by many other research groups, manufacturers and clinics. In contrast to all of the existing technologies, EMBP<\/strong> has shown equal or higher efficacy, depending on clinical conditions, and a much lower rate of adverse effect, especially with regard to the triggering of seizure due to the nature of variable stimulus frequencies.\u00a0<\/p>
